I am a photographer based in the South West of England, covering couple's big day in a unique and unobtrusive style.

I have worked alongside a number of different photographers, exposing me to a wide range of styles and methods of working. This has allowed me to develop my own style of photography whilst benefiting from the combined experience of others.

My ethos is three-fold - The main objective is that you have a wide variety of images which will last you a lifetime. In capturing these images, I ensure that I do not subtract from your enjoyment of your day by consuming more time than your patience allows. My third aim is to allow your day to flow in a manner so that your guests enjoy the day as much as possible, rather that waiting until "the photographer" has gone before they can relax.

This is why I feel that it is important to discuss the wedding day in detail with the bride and groom beforehand. This not anly allows me to plan the timings of the day and understand your requirements, but also to get to know a little about you as a couple.

My service starts with a consultation with the bride and groom followed by a visit to the ceremony and reception venues (if local). On the day I begin by shooting preparation shots before the ceremony. This often involves some staged shots as well as natural candid moments. I usually then go to the ceremony approximately 30 minutes before the bride, to photograph the groom and his entourage as well as arriving guests. This time is also an opportunity to assess the light conditions for group shots after the ceremony. Photographing the ceremony is often dependent on the person conducting the ceremony, as often photographs during a ceremony are not allowed. However, I have found that permision for this can often depend on the manner of the photographer, and arriving slightly early for the ceremony provides an opportunity to chat with the vicar/registrar and overcome any reservations they may have.

During the ceremony, I like to keep a 'low profile' and maintain in one position, capturing the emotion of the bride and groom and their families.

Either at the ceremony venue or the reception venue, I tend to organise the group photographs, and complete them as quickly as possible, and allow the day to progress at its natural pace. After the group shots, it is often nice to stage some bride and groom shots within the grounds of the venue, and then capture some candid shots of the guests as they enjoy canapes and champagne.

During the speeches, I take-up numerous positions to capture the reactions to particular moments as well as covering many different guests.
